NEXT UP:
Contemporary Ballet with florence
6th January 2025

For those who want an early dose of dancing and good vibes in 2025, Florence (Freefall Zoom and in-person (ir-)regular) will be teaching a one-off open level Contemporary Ballet class on Monday 6th January at AMATA.

Blending the structure of ballet and the freedom of contemporary dance, this stress-free class builds up balance and grace by focusing on the use of gravity and breath to achieve flow - and a great workout!

We start with a series of (barre-less) barre exercises in the centre to build core strength, progressing to movements that travel across the space, jumps and a longer phrase - all set to some catchy eclectic tunes. We focus on finding fluidity and enjoyment in movement rather than the perfect turnout.

Start 2025 on a high, come and experience the joy of dance in this energising evening class!

Who is it for?

The Freefall community! Any adult aged 18+, from seasoned practitioners to beginners with basic (not necessarily recent) experience of movement. This is a stress-free, no-judgement class!

When and where?

Monday 6th January 19:00-20:30 at AMATA Studio H/J (TBC.)

How much is it and how do I book?

£12. For more info and to book, follow this link:

About Florence:

Initially trained in France, Florence has performed in both classical ballet and contemporary dance. In Falmouth she has taught one of Freefall’s pro level contemporary classes. She teaches open level contemporary ballet at The Dance Space in Brighton.

SUMMER INTENSIVES

Our Summer Intensives have been running since 2010.

Each year is lead by a variety of professional, experienced dance artists teaching in a range of Contemporary techniques, and additional training such as yoga and Pilates.

Aimed at performers, practitioners, independent and emerging dance artists, the different level classes aim to refresh on-going physical, and creative training in a supported and welcoming atmosphere.

The intensive takes place at the purpose built dance

studios of AMATA near the stunningly beautiful Cornish coastal town of Falmouth.
