What first made you want to dance?
Dancing with Barnsley Youth Dance Theatre when I was 11.

Do you have a Party trick?
Yes, putting my legs in lotus and doing a headstand!

What’s your motto?
Accept everything that comes to you, and turn it into something positive

Favourite lyric or quote?
C’MON! –Gob from Arrested Development

What skill would you love to have other than dancing?
Learn an array of languages – particularly Spanish and Portuguese.

My laptop

Advice for budding dancers?
See my motto…and don’t let anyone put you down or stop you doing whatever you want to do

Favourite song to dance to at the moment?
Love Gets Sweeter Every Day – Finely Quaye, outside of work anything 50s rock and roll.

What is your favourite part of a dance class?
The feeling at the end! But I also enjoy floorwork

If you could have any superpower what would it be?
The ability to teleport

What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Who Da Man, Sioda Man!

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Definitely Brazil, and also Cuba

When was the last time you were really nervous?
Telling my friends that I had got engaged

What story does your family always tell about you?
When I was a kid, we used to go to Whitby Folk Festival every year with friends and family. Me and my cousin used to get up to mischief and one time buried a pair of sandals belonging to Jack (mum & dad’s friend). We put a spade as a marker, but someone moved it…so we couldn’t find them. We both had to give him a pound to go towards buying a new pair.

Coffee and friends

What would you like people to remember about you?
That I made them laugh
